This solenoid valve of JP Fluid Control is suitable for most MIG / MAG and TIG welding devices and comes with two 4mm hose barbs and a 12V DC coil. The valve controls the supply of various shielding gases, such as argon, helium or CO2. The valve is normally closed and opens with an electrical voltage over the coil. The current through the coil generates a magnetic field and attracts an internal ferromagnetic plunger. This opens an orifice, allowing the gas to flow. This solenoid valve of JP Fluid Control is easy to install and is characterized by a low power consumption (6W) and a long life span.

This valve is available with a wide range of voltages, such as 12V DC, 24V DC, 24V AC, 120V AC and 230V AC. In addition, other pipe/hose connections are possible, such as 6mm and 8mm hose barbs and push fittings.

Installation Tips

  • Don't energize the coil when it's not mounted to the valve, it may burn out.
  • Make sure that no dirt can get into the valve, solenoid valves are particularly sensitive to dirt.
  • Make sure the gas flows from port 1/IN to port 2/OUT.
