Hydraulic Solenoid Valves
Hydraulic solenoid valves are directional control valves. They can stop or start the flow of fluid or change the direction of the flow. Directional control valves can also change the direction in which a fluid flows within a hydraulic circuit.
The valves switch position by shifting a spool or poppet. One or two solenoids are used to push the spool back and forth. A connection between 2 or more flow directions is then made or broken, changing the direction of the flow. These valves can be 2-, 3- or 4- way valves. Most hydraulic solenoid valves are block-mounted in the system, using the universal NFPA (NG 6) standard.
Hydraulic solenoid valves have a quick response time (tenth to hundreds of milliseconds), good sealing properties, durability, and reliability.
