Pressure Transducers
Tameson has a wide range of pressure transducers, which convert pressure into an electrical output signal. They are also referred to as pressure transmitters or pressure sensors. The output signal can be analog or digital. Our pressure transducer range includes a variety of different pressure ranges and different non-linearities. Non-linearity is defined as the greatest deviation from a straight reference line. This is often referred to as the deviation from the BFSL (Best Fit Straight Line) in the technical specifications.
Pressure sensors require a power supply to operate. The analog output signal is either 4 - 20 mA current or 0 - 10 V DC. The 4-20 mA current output uses a two wire configuration. The power supply and the output therefore use the same wires. The DC voltage output uses three wires.
Typical applications for pressure sensors are hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
