This is a Burkert direct operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with G 1/8 inch threads and a 24 V DC coil. The valve has a stainless steel housing with FKM sealing and an orifice size of 1.2 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. As it is direct operating, no pressure differential over the valve is needed to open the valve. Suitable for a pressure range of 0 to 12 bar (174 psi) and a maximum temperature of 100 °C (212 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.045 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 1 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 0.05, which means 0.05 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For many applications it is enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. The stainless steel housing is very durable, strong and resistant to a wide range of chemicals with the exception of chloride solutions. The FKM (fluorine rubber or Viton) sealing has excellent chemical properties, is suited for most oils and solvents but it cannot handle hot water or steam. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. This version is labeled as an 'Analysis Version' and it is designed for extremely pure gaseous media. During the production process, all internal valve parts have been cleaned very thoroughly. This is to ensure that the media will not be contaminated under any circumstance.

The plunger valves of the D.EV series are designed for small flow rates and are often used in machine construction, instrument engineering and pneumatic equipment. This cost-effective valve type is designed for neutral and clean liquids, gases and vapors. A wide range of connections, including threaded connections, push-in fittings, and subbase flange, are available for the Type 6011 valve. The valve is available in brass, stainless steel and polyamide (nylon). Further options include certifications for drinking water, food, and oxygen. There are special options, such as helium leak test versions, highly sealed versions, strand versions, and free of oil, grease and silicon versions.
