Flange DN50 Stainless Steel 304 Foot Valve FKM 0.03bar/0.44psi
Flange DN 50 foot valve made of stainless steel 304 with an FKM seal. The minimum differential pressure across the non-return valve must be higher than 0.03 bar (0.44 psi). The valve has a spring to close the valve when the flow is below the minimum pressure and to prevent backflow. The maximum operating pressure is 16 bar (232 psi). The valve is suitable for operating temperatures between -20 and 150° C (-4 to 302° F). The Kv-value is 56 m3/h (934 l/min @1 bar pressure). In imperial units: Cv = 64.74 GPM @ 1 psi pressure.

Description
A foot valve is placed on the bottom of a suction pipe, and prevents the pipe from draining when the pump is switched off. The pump starts better with a filled suction pipe. The foot valve consists of a non-return valve in combination with a filter. The filter makes sure that dirt particles cannot reach the pump.
Pros:
- DN 50 with holes according to EN 1092-1 PN 16
- For a wide range of applications thanks to the qualitative corrosion-resistant design
- FKM is suitable for oils, fuels, air, water and many chemicals
- The strainer in the foot valve prevents any debris from entering the valve and protects downstream equipment
Cons:
- FKM is not suitable for boiling water or steam. EPDM or PTFE are suitable alternatives in this case
- 304 is less resistant than 316 stainless steel
Mondeo IDRJA/DI FONDO series
The Mondeo IDRJA series check or foot valves are fabricated from pressed stainless steel. This production method allows high performance combined with competitive pricing. The products are degreased, pickled and electropolished. They're available in 304 and 316 stainless steel with a wide variety of sealing materials. Versions are available with antipollution control, drinking water approvals, suitable for heavy duty, with male and female connections, with flange connections, with NPT threads, with Victaulic connections or with a connection for air feeding.
