Connect the terminals (1) and (2) to the connector. With AC, polarity is not important. Always connect to the ground, don't use the piping as earthing.
Mount the connector and make sure no moisture can enter between coil and connector.
Use a round cable. Make sure that drops cannot slide along the cable into the connector.
