Description
This 2-way compact flanged ball valve with a full bore (25 mm) provides reliable on/off flow control. The valve has DN 25 PN 40 flanges for connection with pipes on both sides.
The housing of the valve is made of steel and the ball is made of stainless steel 1.4408. The sealings are made of PTFE/FKM. The valve is suitable for water, oil, compressed air and fuels up to a maximum pressure of 40 bar or 580 psi and vacuum (max. -0.9 bar or -13 psi). The valve operates within a temperature range from -20 to 180 °C (from -4 to 356 °F).
Use the handle to operate the valve. By rotating it 90 degrees, the valve will open or close. If the handle is perpendicular to the pipe, the valve is closed. Avoid opening and closing it quickly to protect the system from the possible water hammer and further damage. The valve has a flange according to the ISO 5211 FlangeF04~FlangeF05 norm. This makes the valve suitable for electrical or pneumatic actuation. Always check if the design of the mounting flange suits your actuator.
Pros:
- The 2-part construction provides inspection and maintenance capabilities
- Unobstructed media flow path thanks to the full bore construction
- The ISO 5211 flange makes it suitable for electrical and pneumatic actuators and it is equipped with a handle for manual actuation
- Suitable for vacuum applications
- Easy interchange and maintenance thanks to the standardized DN 25/PN 40 flange
Cons:
- To disassemble the valve for inspection and cleaning it has to be completely removed from the pipe
BL2E-AMF-SD series
Our steel compact flanged ball valve series ranges from DN 15 to DN 125. The operating pressure of these valves is from -0.9 bar or -13 psi to 40 bar or 580 psi up to DN 50 and above that to 16 bar or 232 psi. The housing is made of steel and the ball is made of stainless steel. These valves are suitable for a wide variety of media, such as water, oil, compressed air, fuels and vacuum applications. The high quality materials and PTFE/FKM sealings provide an operating temperature range of -20 to 180 °C (-4 to 356 °F). Besides flanges for connection with piping systems these valves are equipped with an ISO 5211 flange. This flange provides mounting of an electrical or a pneumatic actuator. To operate these valves use a lockable handle. These ball valves have a full bore and offer maximum flow rates with the lowest pressure drop. The valves in the BL2E-AMF-SD-series of Tameson are characterized by a long service life.
