Belimo Characterized Valve Rp1-1/2 Kvs25 24VAC/DC 90s BACnet/Modbus/MP-Bus 10Nm IP54 R2040-25-S3/NR24A-MOD
This is a Belimo 2-way characterized ball valve with a nickel-plated brass housing and EPDM sealing. The bore diameter of the valve is DN 40 and the port size is Rp 1 1/2 inch with female threads. With its integrated characterizing disc, it ensures equal percentage flow control, enabling precise and consistent regulation of fluid flow. The maximum pressure differential is 3.5 bar (50.8 psi). The valve can operate between -10 and 120 °C (14 to 248 °F). The Kv value of the valve is 25 m3/h, equivalent to a Cv-value of 28.93 gpm. The actuator requires a supply voltage of 24 V AC/DC. The actuator supports BACnet MSTP/Modbus RTU/MP-Bus communication protocols and requires product ZTH EU for setting the protocol address and linking the actuator to the system. Furthermore, ZTH EU allows the setting of an analog 0-10V or 2-10V control signal. The actuator opens/closes the valve in 90 seconds. The actuator has an IP54 rating.

Description
The actuator, equipped with overload protection, doesn't need limit switches and will stop automatically when the end stop is reached. Manual override is possible using a push-button, which disengages the gear train as long as the button is pressed or remains locked. The actuator can be directly mounted on the ball valve using a single screw. The mounting orientation relative to the ball valve can be chosen in 90° increments. The actuator comes with an inbuilt interface for BACnet MSTP, Modbus RTU, and MP-Bus. It obtains the digital control signal from the control system and provides the present status. The rotation angle can be adjusted with mechanical end stops.
Pros:
- Manual override
- The actuator is overload protected
- Visual position indicator
- The integrated characterized disc ensures equal percentage flow, ideal for heating circuits
- Modulating actuator with fieldbus or a 0-10 V/2-10 V signal
Cons:
- Product ZTH EU needed (not included) to set protocol address and link the actuator to the system
- The time to open/close of 90 s is slow for some applications
