Description
This Bürkert 2/2-way (type 3361) globe valve is designed for position control. The actuator's position is controlled based on the set-point position, which can be given either by an analogue signal or a digital fieldbus. The actual position of the actuator is measured by a displacement transducer and compared to the set-point. If there is a difference between the two values, the electric motor drive is adjusted to correct the position.
This valve has G 1 inch female threaded ports. The valve has a stainless steel housing. The current valve's position is blocked upon power lose.
For media temperatures ranging from -10 to 185°C (14 to 365°F) and a maximum pressure of up to 20 bar (281 psi). The valve has a Kv-value of 12 m3/h (Cv-value of 13.9 gpm). The stainless steel housing is durable, suitable for corrosive media and harsh environments. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. With its recirculating ball screw, the electric actuator is suitable for use in hygienic and aggressive environments. The high-speed 24V DC electric actuator moves the globe valve with ball screw to the desired end position. The valve takes 3.3 s to go from fully open to fully closed position. The actuator uses a büs communications protocol.
Pros:
- Diagnostic functions possible thanks to the fieldbus connection
- High IP protection IP65/67 ensures adequate splash protection
- Suitable for applications with food
Series
The Bürkert type 3361 globe valves have electric actuators with a ball screw that position the control cone with highest precision. The valve and actuator are made to fit together perfectly, with a closed design and strong surface that can be cleaned quickly and easily. The valve can work well even in harsh environments, because it has a high level of protection against splash and vibration (IP65/67). The valve is also very durable and won't leak, thanks to self adjusting packing gland with exchangeable V-seals. The type 3361 can be connected to a computer system, which can help monitor how well the valve is working and predict when it might need maintenance. The valve works quickly, with the motor able to move it up to 6 mm/s. Some of the type 3361 valves are suitable for applications with food, oxygen and have explosion proof ATEX, IECEx and UL certificates.
