M12x1.5 Floating Joint Cylinder MFC
This floating joint mounting accessory can absorb any off-centering accuracy between the driven body and the cylinder. It has a female input for the pneumatic cylinder’s rod-end and a shaft output, both being M12×1.5 threads. It has a rotational angle range of ±5° and allows for a linear deviation of ±0.75 mm. It is designed for repetitive usage of either compression or tension forces.

Description
The floating joint mounting accessory can absorb any off-centering or loss of parallel accuracy between the driven body and the cylinder. It has a female input to connect to the pneumatic cylinder’s rod-end and a shaft output of the same M12×1.5 threads. It has a rotational angle range of ±5° and allows for a linear deviation of ±0.75 mm. Therefore, accurate centering and machining of components can have a looser tolerance which will reduce installation time and cost. It is compact, rigid, and has a simple construction allowing for repetitive usage of both compression and tension forces. It has a temperature range of 5-60°C and is made out of steel. It can be used for ISO (15552, 21287, 6432, etc.) or non-ISO pneumatic cylinders, as long as the threads match.
Pros:
- It can absorb any off-centering or loss of parallel accuracy between the driven body and the cylinder
- It has a rotational angle range of ±5° and allows for a linear deviation of ±0.75 mm
- It is designed for repetitive usage of both compression and tension forces
Cons:
- Additional weight needs to be taken into account for load calculations
MFC and MFCS series
The Mindman MFC and MFCS floating joint series are for ISO (15552, 21287, 6432, etc.) and non-ISO pneumatic cylinders with a thread size range of M3 to M50. They can absorb any off-centering or loss of parallel accuracy and also have a rotational angle range of ±5° depending on the size, which allows for less accurate centering, machining, and installation time to reduce overall cost. They can be used for both push and pull applications and our MFC size (6-160mm shaft) has a maximum force of 80,000 N and our MFCS size (6-32m shaft) has a maximum force of 2,500 N. These are used for applications where centering or angle deviation is or could be an issue.
