Description
This Bürkert 2/2-way (type 3363) diaphragm valve is designed for position control. The actuator's position is controlled based on the set-point position, which can be given either by an analogue signal or a digital fieldbus. The actual position of the actuator is measured by a displacement transducer and compared to the set-point. If there is a difference between the two values, the electric motor drive is adjusted to correct the position.
This valve has welded end DN 10 ports. The valve has a stainless steel housing with an EPDM diaphragm. The valve is delivered as normally closed (NC), which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. The actuator has an energy storage unit. The unit can be used to set a safe position for the valve to return to in case of power loss.
For media temperatures ranging from -10 to 143°C (14 to 289°F) at a pressure of 0 to 10 bar (0 to 140 psi). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.95 m3/h (Cv-value of 1.1 gpm). The stainless steel housing is durable, suitable for corrosive media and harsh environments. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. With its recirculating ball screw, the electric actuator is suitable for use in hygienic and aggressive environments. The housing has a dead space free design. A 360° LED light ring indicates the position. IP65/IP67 protection provides splash protection. The high-speed 24V DC electric actuator moves the diaphragm valve with ball screw to the desired end position. The valve takes 1.1 s to go from fully open to fully closed position. The actuator uses a büs communications protocol.
Pros:
- Adjustable driving force protects the diaphragm and prolongs the service life
- Diagnostic functions possible thanks to the fieldbus connection
- High IP protection IP65/67 ensures adequate splash protection
Series
The Bürkert type 3363, externally controlled diaphragm valves, are composed of an electrically controlled linear actuator (positioner), a diaphragm, and a two-way valve housing. The recirculating ball screw allows the electric actuator to work in clean or harsh environments. The valve housings are designed to allow high flow rates and versatile applications without any dead spaces. The position is displayed by a LED light ring that covers 360°. The actuator has a feature to adjust the drive force and protect the diaphragm. The actuator is splash-proof with high IP protection of IP65/IP67. electric actuators move the diaphragm valves with ball screws at high speeds of up to 6 mm/s. Some of the type 3363 valves are suitable for applications with food, oxygen and have explosion proof ATEX, IECEx and UL certificates.
