Electric Ball Valve Accessories
Explore Tameson's wide range of electric ball valve accessories. These accessories include separate units of electrical actuators and ball valve series. An electric-actuated ball valve can be broken down into two main components, namely, the electric actuator (servo motor) and the ball valve. There are electrical actuators with ISO-5211 flanges to control ball valves or butterfly valves (0 to 90 degrees or quarter turn rotary control). Also, there are ball valves suitable to be used with the actuators. These ball valves are used in various applications like industrial equipment, irrigation systems, solar water heaters, and heating and ventilation systems.
Electric ball valves, also called motorized ball valves, are used to control the flow of a media (liquid or gas), by means of a rotating ball with a bore. The rotating ball is controlled by an electric actuator that connects directly to the ball valve stem, rotating it a quarter turn. An electric ball valve is one of the most common valves due to its simple operation, reliability, long service life, and wide range of applications. A motorized ball valve is great for remotely controlling and/or for an automated application. They are commonly used as electric water ball valves or for heating units. An electric actuated ball valve can be controlled to be open/closed (2-way), 3-point control, or modulated. The electric actuator and the ball valve are mounted together, typically with a standard flange adhering to ISO 5211. This allows both the electric actuator and ball valve to be swapped out with another one using the same flange size. There are various housings and sizes of electric ball valves to allow you to find the right one for your application.
