Thermal compressed air flow switches
Thermal compressed air flow switches monitor the air consumption of a machine or supply line and switch outputs at adjustable limits, for example at a leak or an unexpected peak in use. A heated sensor measures the flow with no moving parts and almost no pressure loss.
Each of the two switching outputs is set to a limit in Nl/min (normal liters per minute) and to PNP or NPN to match the control system, so a leak or an overload raises an alarm. The color display shows the current flow and the switch states.
Four sizes fit R 1/2" to R 2" pipes, rated to 16 bar (≈230 psi) with an 18 to 30 V DC supply. They are for compressed air only; for water-based liquids, choose a calorimetric flow switch. The same devices are also listed under thermal compressed air flow meters.
