Vented Ball Valves

Explore Tameson's wide range of vented ball valves from various global manufacturers. A vented ball valve is designed for depressurizing systems or tools to provide a safer working environment. A vented ball valve is designed with a small hole on the outlet side of the ball (not to be confused with the normal outlet). When the valve is closed, the system on the outlet side of the ball valve will depressurize through the vent.

A vented ball valve has two ports (an inlet and an outlet) and a ball with a bore in it. Vented ball valves are operated by a manual hand lever to turn the ball 90 degrees, which is why they are often called quarter-turn ball valves. Simply turn the handle perpendicular to the pipe to close it and parallel to open it. When the ball valve is closed, it will vent out the pressure from the outlet side through the vent.
