Water Solenoid Valve 120V
View Tameson's selection of water solenoid valves 120V AC. These water solenoid valves are designed for water applications and to be run on a 120V AC power supply. The valves in this category have a brass housing, an EPDM seal and are normally closed (NC). These materials are a good and reliable solution for water applications. A solenoid valve is very quick acting compared to other valve types. The solenoid valve is electrically controlled and normally closed (NC). When 120V AC is applied, the valve will open allowing water to flow from inlet to outlet. meaning that when the valve is supplied 120V AC it will open. Therefore, when 120V AC is not applied, it will close not allowing water to flow through. These valves are 2/2-way, meaning they have 1 inlet and 1 outlet. The main product specification considerations are discussed below to make an educated selection process.
Additional Water Solenoid Valve 120V Selection Criteria
The considerations for operating type are:
- Direct Operated: Doesn't require a pressure differential to function properly.
- Indirect Operated: Requires a pressure differential (typically 0.5 bar) to function properly.
- Semi-Direct Operated: A pressure differential isn't required, but assists in the operation.
Note: Proper valve orientation of inlet and outlet is important for proper function. The correct orientation is denoted with an arrow on the valve housing.
This selection of valves are 2/2-way, and the inlet and outlet ports are both female. Available port sizes are:
- ⅛ inch
- ¼ inch
- ⅜ inch
- ½ inch
- ¾ inch
- 1 inch
- 1-¼ inch
- 1-½ inch
- 2 inch
All products shown have a brass housing and an EPDM seal material. Brass as a housing material is ideal as it is resistant to water (won't rust) and is durable. EPDM as a seal material is ideal as it is suitable for water, good resistance to weather influences, and suitable up to a maximum temperature of 120 °C or 130 °C.
