Bürkert 2/2-way solenoid valve (type 0290) with G1/2'' threads and a 400V AC coil. Normally closed (voltage = open) and semi-direct operating, so no differential pressure required. For media with max 120°C at a differential pressure of 0-16 bar. Housing of brass with FKM sealing and a 12 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 1.8 m3/h (30 l/min at dp=1 bar water). Suitable for vacuum. Low risk of water hammer thanks to dampened closing.

Description
Bürkert semi-direct operating 2/2-way solenoid valve with G1/2'' inner threads and 400V AC (alternating current) coil. The valve has a brass housing with FKM sealing and an orifice size of 12 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. Suitable for systems with a differential pressure of 0-16 bar and a maximum temperature of 120°C. The valve has a Kv-value of 1.8 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 30 l/min at the differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The FKM (fluorine rubber or viton) sealing has excellent chemical properties, is suited for most oils and solvents but it cannot handle hot water or steam. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve's design prevents water hammering. Suitable for vacuum applications. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.

0290 series
The Bürkert 0290 valve is a semi-direct (servo assisted) solenoid valve of the S.EV series. The membrane features a fixed coupling to a plunger. This means that the valve opens without a differential pressure over the valve. It can be used for low pressure applications, such as gravity fed systems or closed circulating circuits. The valve is designed for a quiet operation. All UC variants have electronic control to achieve a high inrush current to open the valve and a low holding current to keep the valve in the opened position. This 'kick and drop' system leads to a low power consumption and a low heat generation which gives the 0290 a long lifecycle.
