Burkert 2/2 way solenoid valve (type 6281) with G 1 1/4 inch threads and a 24 V AC coil. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed (voltage = open). The valve is indirect operating, so a small differential pressure required. Suitable for max media temperatures of 80 °C (176 °F) and a pressure range of 0.2 to 16 bar (3 to 232 psi). Housing of stainless steel with NBR sealing and a 25 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 12 m3/h (200.04 l/min at dp = 1 bar water).

This is a Burkert indirect operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with G 1 1/4 inch threads and a 24 V AC coil. The valve has a stainless steel housing with NBR sealing and an orifice size of 25 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. Suitable for a pressure range of 0.2 to 16 bar (3 to 232 psi) and a maximum temperature of 80 °C (176 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 12 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 200 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 14, which means 14 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For many applications it is enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator. The stainless steel housing is very durable, strong and resistant to a wide range of chemicals with the exception of chloride solutions. The NBR (nitrile rubber) sealing is suited for water, air, alcohol and is fairly resistance to oil and petrol. NBR is unsatisfactory with oxidising fluids. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.

Pros:

  • The coil may get hot when energized. A well ventilated environment is recommended

Series:

The Bürkert 6281 valve is an indirect operated solenoid valve of the S.EV series. To open and close, the valve features a large flexible rubber membrane. The pressure difference over the inlet and outlet ports is used to move the membrane up and down. A minimal pressure differential is always required. Thanks to the special design of the membrane and valve seat, the valve operates quietly. The brass housing satisfies all European drinking water requirements. The 6281 series offers various options, including different housing materials, ATEX versions, and a manual override feature.
