Brand: Burkert

Bürkert 2/2-way solenoid valve (type 6281) with G1'' threads and a 230V UC coil. Normally closed (voltage = open) and indirect operating, so a small differential pressure required. For media with max 90°C at a differential pressure of 0.2-16 bar. Housing of brass with EPDM sealing and a 25 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 12 m3/h (200 l/min at dp=1 bar water). Low risk of water hammer thanks to dampened closing. Suitable for drinking water. Certified up to ATEX zone 1.

Bürkert indirect operating 2/2-way solenoid valve with G1'' inner threads and 230V UC (alternating or direct current) coil. The valve has a brass housing with EPDM sealing and an orifice size of 25 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. Suitable for systems with a differential pressure of 0.2-16 bar and a maximum temperature of 90°C. The valve has a Kv-value of 12 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 200 l/min at the differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) sealing is suited for neutral fluids and many chemicals, but it has poor resistance to oils and fats. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve's design prevents water hammering. Energy efficient design for a long product lifecycle. Satisfies all European drinking water requirements. The valve is certified for ATEX Ex-Zone 1, so it can be used in potentially explosive environments requiring this certification. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected. Suitable for cold media with temperatures from -30°C.

Important advantages

  • This valve satisfies all European drinking water requirements
  • ATEX certified up to Ex-Zone 1
  • Energy-saving design which ensures a low heating of the medium and, in addition, a long service life
  • The risk of water hammer is low, thanks to the dampened closing
  • Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
  • Type 6281 is ideal for the control of larger flows
  • Bürkert design: proven reliability & durability

6281 series

The Bürkert 6281 valve is an indirect operated solenoid valve of the S.EV series. To open and close, the valve features a large flexible rubber membrane. The pressure difference over the inlet and outlet ports is used to move the membrane up and down. Therefore, always a minimal pressure differential is required. Thanks to the special design of the membrane and valve seat, the valve operates quietly. The brass housing satisfies all European drinking water requirements. The 6281 series is available with a wide variety of options, such as other housing materials, ATEX versions and a manual override feature.
