Description
Bürkert indirect operating 2/2-way solenoid valve with 1/2'' NPT inner threads and 120V AC (alternating current) coil. The valve has a brass housing with FKM sealing and an orifice size of 13 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally open, which means the valve closes when voltage is applied. However, the function can easily be changed between NC and NO by rotating the pilot valve on the top side by 180 degrees. This model is media separated and can therefore be used for slightly contaminated and aggressive media. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The FKM (fluorine rubber or viton) sealing has excellent chemical properties, is suited for most oils and solvents but it cannot handle hot water or steam. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. You can separately adjust the opening and closing time of the valve with set screws, for example to prevent water hammer. Energy efficient design for a long product lifecycle.

The Bürkert 5282 solenoid valve is used for the most demanding applications. The valve is built to last. The media separation makes the 5282 also suitable for aggressive media. Other interesting features are the standard manual override and adjustable opening and closing times. Furthermore, the circuit function can easily be changed from NC to NO, by simply rotating the 3/2 way pilot valve on top of the main valve body. The 5282 valve is available with a wide variation of housing and sealing materials. The brass housing satisfies all European drinking water requirements. Various ATEX versions are available for potentially explosive environment.
