Bürkert indirect operating 2/2-way solenoid valve with 1/2'' NPT inner threads and 120V AC (alternating current) coil. The valve has a brass housing with FKM sealing and an orifice size of 13 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The FKM (fluorine rubber or viton) sealing has excellent chemical properties, is suited for most oils and solvents but it cannot handle hot water or steam. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. 6281 series

The Bürkert 6281 valve is an indirect operated solenoid valve of the S.EV series. To open and close, the valve features a large flexible rubber membrane. The pressure difference over the inlet and outlet ports is used to move the membrane up and down. Therefore, always a minimal pressure differential is required. Thanks to the special design of the membrane and valve seat, the valve operates quietly. The brass housing satisfies all European drinking water requirements. The 6281 series is available with a wide variety of options, such as other housing materials, ATEX versions and a manual override feature.
