Solenoid Valve 16mm Glued Sleeves NO Plastic FKM 0-2bar/29psi 230VAC/DC Vacuum 0131 53221
Reference: 53221
Brand: Burkert

Burkert 2/2 way solenoid valve (type 0131) with 16 mm glued sleeves and a 230 V AC/DC coil. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally open (voltage = close). The valve is direct operating, so no differential pressure required. Suitable for slightly contaminated and aggressive media (media separation). Suitable for max media temperatures of 50 °C (122 °F) and a pressure range of 0 to 2 bar (29 psi). Housing of plastic with FKM sealing and a 10 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 2 m3/h (33.34 l/min at dp = 1 bar water). Manual override feature. Suitable for vacuum.
Note: DIN connector not included.

This is a Burkert direct operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with 16 mm glued sleeves and a 230 V AC/DC coil. The valve has a plastic housing with FKM sealing and an orifice size of 10 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally open, which means the valve closes when voltage is applied. As it is direct operating, no pressure differential over the valve is needed to open the valve. Suitable for a pressure range of 0 to 2 bar (29 psi) and a maximum temperature of 50 °C (122 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 2 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 33 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 2, which means 2 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For many applications it is enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator. This model is media separated. This means that the working parts such as the spring are separated from the media by a flexible membrane, which makes it possible to use of slightly contaminated and aggressive media. The PVC housing is strong and lightweight and resistant to many chemicals, acids and alkali. The FKM (fluorine rubber or Viton) sealing has excellent chemical properties, is suited for most oils and solvents but it cannot handle hot water or steam. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The manual override feature can be used to commission the system. Suitable for vacuum applications. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected. The valve is equipped with a "kick-and-drop" function, which provides a high inrush current to switch the valve and then reduces to a low holding current to keep the valve in position. This results in a significant reduction in power consumption.

Pros:

  • Suitable for vacuum applications
  • Aggressive media are possible thanks to the media separated design
  • The manual override is ideal for commissioning and in case of power outage
  • Peak-and-hold electronics enable low energy consumption by delivering a high current to open the valve, which then decreases to a low holding current
  • Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
  • Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types

Cons:

  • Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
  • The coil may get hot when energized. A well ventilated environment is recommended
  • DIN connector not included

Series:

The Bürkert 0131 valve is a direct-acting toggle valve. Its housing can be made of PVC, brass, or PVDF. The valve is available in sizes with diameters up to DN 25 and can operate from 0 to 3 bar depending on the version. Thanks to the diaphragm-separation between the actuator and the fluid body, aggressive media such as acids and alkaline solutions can also be controlled safely. DC variants offer energy efficiency, which can contribute to a longer life cycle. The valve features a vibration-proof coil system design. An electric position feedback system determines the valve's state.
