G3'' Stainless Steel 316 Suction Strainer 1.8 mm Mesh

Stainless steel 316 (1.4401) suction strainer with G 3 inch male threads and a 1.8 mm mesh. These are often used in combination with a check valve as a foot valve.

It is recommended to use these strainers in front of components that are sensitive to small particles, such as solenoid valves or pumps. The strainer filter size defines the maximum size of particles that can go through.

The requirements of the downline equipment should serve as a guide when selecting the strainer filter mesh. Correct sizing is important; if the filtration size is too large, then unfiltered debris will move downstream and could affect the performance of the downstream equipment. If the filtration size is too small, the pressure drop will increase and due to the filtration size the filter will require more frequent cleaning.
