ACE adjustable industrial shock absorber with M 10x1 body thread and 7,2 mm stroke rated for up to 5,5 Nm per stroke, 13550 Nm/h continuous, effective mass 4,5 - 20 kg, operating temperature 0 to +66 °C (32 to +151 °F). Damping is tunable on-absorber to the actual mass and impact velocity. Used as an end-of-stroke buffer on machine axes, pick-and-place arms, packaging machinery, and small automation cells where the mass or impact velocity varies between cycles and the damping must be tuned.

Pros:

  • Tunable damping across 4,5–20 kg, so each cycle ends at the lowest reaction force
  • Rated 5,5 Nm/stroke, 13550 Nm/h on a compact M 10x1 threaded body, 7,2 mm stroke
  • Self-returning piston with integrated limit stop, no external return spring needed

Cons:

  • Requires re-tuning when mass or impact velocity changes
  • Operating range 0 to +66 °C (32 to +151 °F); derate or pick another series outside it
  • Free-falling vertical loads need a separate energy calculation
