Belimo Actuator 0-10/2-10V 24VAC/DC 400Nm IP67 Terminals SPDT 23s F10/F12 SY4-24-MP-T
Notice: This product will be discontinued in the future
This Belimo electrical actuator is designed for controlling quarter turn valves. The actuator delivers a torque of 400 Nm and can open/close the valve in 23 seconds. This actuator requires a supply voltage of 24 V AC/DC and has a visual positioning indicator to clearly see the valve position. The actuator utilizes the MP-Bus communication protocol and provides position feedback in the range of 0-10 V or 2-10 V, allowing for precise control and accurate monitoring of its position within the specified voltage range. The actuator mounts to a quarter turn valve with an ISO 5211 F10 or F12 flanges. The actuator has a durable aluminium housing and has an IP67 protection rating. This actuator can operate within ambient temperatures between -30 and 40 °C (-22 and 104 °F). The actuator is equipped with 2 x SPDT auxiliary switches. A power cable can be easily attached via the terminal block.

Description
Mechanical end stops confine the actuator between -2 ° and 92 °. The internal limit switches disrupt the motor's voltage supply. Additionally, a motor thermostat offers overload protection and interrupts the voltage supply if the actuator is operated outside the specified temperatures. An internal heater prevents the buildup of condensation. The integrated auxiliary switches feature a gold/silver coating that allows integration in circuits with either low currents (mA range) or larger currents (A range) as per the data sheet specifications. However, once larger currents have been applied, even just once, the contacts cannot be used in the milliampere range. The handwheel can close (turn clockwise) and open (turn counterclockwise) the butterfly valve. The handwheel remains stationary while the motor is running. The actuator is connected with a standard control signal and moves to the position defined by the control signal. Voltage measurement is employed both for visually displaying the valve position within the 0.5% to 100% range and as a control signal for other actuators. In bus operation, the actuator receives its digital control signal from the upper-level controller via the MP-Bus and moves to the defined position. The U connection serves as a communication interface and doesn't provide an analog measuring voltage. The actuator is suitable for outdoor use and is protected against UV radiation, dirt/dust, rain/snow, and air humidity.
Pros:
- The ISO 5211 F10/F12 mounting flange fits many quarter-turn valves
- The actuator has the 2 x SPDT auxiliary switches
- Modulating actuator with a control signal of 0-10 V/2-10 V
- Manual override
- Visual position indicator
- The actuator is suitable for outdoor use
- An internal heater prevents the buildup of condensation
Cons:
- The time to open/close of 23 s is slow for some applications
