Description
This Belimo electrical actuator is designed for controlling quarter turn valves. The actuator delivers a torque of 8 Nm and can open/close the valve in 9 seconds. This actuator requires a supply voltage of 24 V AC/DC and has a visual positioning indicator to clearly see the valve position. The modulating actuator is requires a 2-10 V input and offers position feedback, ensuring precise control over its operation and accurate monitoring of its position within the designated voltage range. The actuator has a durable plastic housing and has an IP54 protection rating. This actuator can operate within ambient temperatures between -30 and 40 °C (-22 and 104 °F). The actuator comes with a 1-meter power cable.
The actuator is equipped with overload protection, the actuator doesn't need limit switches and will stop automatically when the end stop is reached. Manual override is possible using a push-button, which disengages the gear train as long as the button is pressed or remains locked. The actuator can be directly mounted on the ball valve using a single screw. The mounting orientation relative to the ball valve can be chosen in 90° increments. The actuator can be controlled with a standard control signal of 2-10 V and moves to the position dictated by the control signal. Voltage measurement is employed both for visually displaying the valve position within the 0.5% to 100% range and as a control signal for other actuators. The rotation angle can be adjusted with mechanical end stops. Upon initial power supply, i.e., during commissioning, the actuator performs an adaptation where the operating range and position feedback adjust to the mechanical setting range. The actuator then moves into the position defined by the control signal.
Pros:
- Fast acting 9 s
- Modulating actuator with a control signal of 2-10 V
- Manual override
- The actuator is overload protected
- Visual position indicator
