Description
This 2-way ball valve from Tameson with a nominal diameter of 18 mm is designed for on/off flow control. The valve has Rp 3/4 inch female threaded ports. This is BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper). With our range of 3/4 inch fittings, the valve can be installed in any pipe (recommended pipe diameter ± 15 - 22 mm).
The housing of the valve is made of nickel-plated brass, the ball is made of brass and the seals are made of PTFE/NBR. This valve is suitable for various media, such as water, oil or air. The valve can be used up to a max pressure of 25 bar (362.5 psi) and within a temperature range between -20 and 95 °C (-4 and 203 °F).
Use the handle to operate the valve. By rotating it 90 degrees, the valve will open or close. If the handle is perpendicular to the pipe, the valve is closed. This valve is not suitable for electrical or pneumatic control. For this purpose, valves with an ISO-Top flange (ISO 5211) are recommended.
Pros:
- No extra friction losses thanks to the full bore design
Cons:
- Not suitable for aggressive media
- Suitable only for manual actuation
