Steel/brass DN 10.4 safety air coupling socket with G 3/8 inch female threads. A pneumatic coupling is used to quickly connect air tools to a compressed air line. The coupling requires two parts: the socket (female) and the plug or nipple (male part). When disconnected, the coupling automatically shuts off to maintain the line pressure.

These safety couplings release the down-line air pressure at the plug side in a safe, controlled manner by pulling the sleeve on the socket. The plug will not be released before the pressure at the plug side reaches a safe low level. This prevents the risk of a dangerous bull whip effect which may cause damage to man and machine. We recommend to use hardened steel plugs with these couplings. The G 3/8 inch female threads allow for it to be threaded onto a matching male threaded part. The operating pressure range is 0 to 16 bar. The socket is suitable for temperatures between -20 to 80°C. The rated flow rate is 4000 l/min. The seal material is NBR (nitrile rubber). The steel/brass housing has a galvanic/electrolytic zinc plated surface protection.

This product is compatible with: Rectus (27, 41, 1700, 1727), TEMA (1700), CEJN (410). They are often referred to as compressed air couplings, compressor couplings, pneumatic fittings, air hose couplings, etc.
