This WIKA Type PGS23 contact pressure gauge measures pressure from 0 to 4bar (0 to 58psi). The gauge has double normally open (NO) contacts. The 1st and 2nd contacts close when the respective setpoint value is exceeded. The scale division is 0.1 bar, and the measurement accuracy class is 1 (±1% maximum deviation). The stainless steel case has a diameter of 100 mm. The stainless steel 306l (1.4404) connection point has G 1/2 inch threads.

Contact pressure gauges are pressure gauges with an integrated pressure switch. Depending on the pointer position of the indicating measuring instrument, switch contacts make or break circuits. This contact pressure gauge has a connection point located below the gauge and measures pressure from 0 to 4bar (0 to 58psi). The scale division is 0.1 bar and the measurement accuracy class is 1 (±1% maximum deviation). The case is made of stainless steel and it has a G 1/2 inch stainless steel 306l (1.4404) connection port. It has an IP65 rating, and is suitable for a temperature range of -20 to 200 °C (-4 and 392 °F). This gauge has double normally open (NO) contacts. The 1st and 2nd contacts close when the respective setpoint value is exceeded. The recommended minimum difference between two contacts is 20% of the measuring span. The switch hysteresis is typically 2..5%. This version is a magnetic-snap action model with switch version S. Check the datasheet for the maximum switching power. Furthermore, for low voltages the load should never be below 20mA to guarantee good switching reliability.

A calibration certificate is not available.

Pros:

  • Contact pressure gauges combine pressure switches with visual monitoring
  • Switching capacity up to 250 V AC at 1 A
  • Safety version with laminated safety glass, blow-out rear wall, and unbreakable partition wall (S 3 EN 837-1 / DIN 16006)
  • High chemical resistance against the measured fluids thanks to the stainless steel (1.4404) connection point and measurement system
  • Proven quality and reliability from WIKA

Cons:

  • A calibration certificate is not available
