G1'' 230V AC Brass Coaxial Solenoid Valve FKM 0 - 64bar
G1'' 230V AC Brass Coaxial Solenoid Valve FKM 0 - 64bar
Reference: CX-DA100B250F-230AC
Brand: JP Fluid Control

JP Fluid control 2/2 way coaxial solenoid valve (type CX-DA) with G 1 inch threads and a 230 V AC coil. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed and direct operating, so no pressure differential is required. Suitable for max media temperature of 120 °C (248 °F) and a pressure range of 0 - 64 bar (0 - 928 psi). Housing of brass with Fluor caoutchouc (FPM/FKM) sealing and a 25 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 11.23 m3/h (187.2 l/min at dp=1 bar water).

This is a JP Fluid control direct operating 2/2 way coaxial solenoid valve with G 1 inch threads and a 230 V AC coil. The wetted parts are made from brass with Fluor caoutchouc (FPM/FKM) sealing and an orifice size of 10.5 mm (approximately 3/8 inch). The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied.

The valve is suitable for pressures of 0 - 64 bar (0 - 928 psi) and a maximum temperature of 120 °C (248 °F). The valve is back-pressure resistant up to 16 bar (232 psi), which means the valve remains shut when pressure is applied on the outlet port. The valve has a Kv-value of 11.23 m3/h, which translates to a flow rate of 187.2 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 12.98, which means 12.98 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For simple applications, it is often enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator.

The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The FKM (fluorine rubber or viton) sealing has excellent chemical properties, is suited for most oils and solvents but it cannot handle hot water or steam. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.

Pros:

  • Suitable for highly viscous media up to 500 centistokes (0.005 ft2/s)
  • Handles pressures up to 64 bar (928 psi) and back-pressures up to 16 bar (232 psi)
  • Handles slightly contaminated and abrasive media
  • High flow rate (Kv=11.23 (Cv = 12.98)) thanks to relatively unobstructed flow path
  • Suitable for low pressure differentials and rough vacuums
  • Coaxial solenoid valves respond very fast (<200 ms) compared to regular solenoid valves
  • Delivered including coil and connector
  • Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating

Cons:

  • Coaxial solenoid valves have a high power rating and the coil may get hot. A well ventilated installation environment is recommended to dissipate the heat
  • The valve is relatively heavy at 7.8 kg (17.2 lb)
  • The coil cannot be separately replaced

CX-DA series

The CX valves are direct operated, fast acting normally closed 2/2-way coaxial solenoid valves. They are used in situations where regular solenoid valves do not suffice, such as viscous, abrasive or contaminated media. Available in brass and stainless steel with various sealing materials and voltages. The valves are available with BSP or NPT threads on request.
