The DEHNshield is a multipole, spark-gap-based combined lightning current and surge arrester (type 1 and type 2) compliant with EN 61643-11. Its compact design originates from its space-saving spark gap technology with only 1 module/pole width. Suitable for use in refurbished or retrofitted residential buildings, it can protect terminal equipment. It conforms to all requirements of IEC 60364-5-53 and IEC 60364-4-44 and can be installed directly at the origin of the electrical installation. It has 2 poles, a lightning impulse current (10/350) of 15kA, a max continuous voltage of AC 255V, a nominal voltage of AC 230V, and a cut-off follow current of 25kA. Its safety level is 1.5kV for both L-N and N-PE.
