The HVI Power Round Conductor for lightning protection is a high-voltage-resistant, insulated down conductor. It maintains the separation distance from electrically conductive parts following IEC 62305-3 to avoid dangerous flashover between external lightning protection components and indoor conductive parts. The conductor, black in color, has a 25mm² cross-section, made from copper and comprises 7 class 2 strands. It features a special outer sheath of XLPE (VPE) for discharging high lightning impulse voltages to a reference potential and preventing creeping discharge. It is used for on-site assembly with a cut-to-order length of 6m-35m. It affords an equivalent separation distance ≤ 90 cm (in air), ≤ 180 cm (solid material).
