The HVI Power Conductor is an insulated, high-voltage-resistant down conductor used within a support tube to maintain a separation distance from conductive parts per IEC/EN 62305-3. This helps prevent dangerous flashovers between the external lightning protection system and indoor conductive components such as electrical installations and pipes. The conductor uses a special outer sheath to avoid creeping discharge and discharge high lightning impulse voltages. It comes in black, with an internal sealing end and an equipotential bonding spring element. It has an air-termination rod and an earth connection element, with an equivalent separation distance of ≤ 90cm in air, and ≤ 180cm in solid material.
