Solenoid Valve DF-SA 2'' Stainless Steel FKM 0-10bar 230V AC
JP Fluid Control 2 way solenoid valve (type DF-SA) with G 2 inch threads and a 230 V AC coil. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed (voltage = open) and semi-direct operating, so no pressure differential is required. Suitable for max media temperature of 120° C (248 ° F) pressure range of 0 - 10 bar (0 - 145 psi). Housing of stainless steel with FKM (FPM) sealing and a 50 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 40.94 m3/h (682.47 l/min at dp=1 bar water).

Description
This is a JP Fluid Control semi-direct operating 2 way solenoid valve with G 2 inch threads and a 230 V AC coil. The valve has a stainless steel housing with FKM (FPM) sealing and an orifice size of 50 mm (approximately 2 inch). The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied.
The valve is suitable for pressures of 0 - 10 bar (0 - 145 psi) and a maximum temperature of 120° C (248° F). The valve has a Kv-value of 40.94 m3/h, which translates to a flow rate of 682.47 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 47.33, which means 47.33 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For simple applications it is often enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator.
The stainless steel housing is very durable, strong and resistant to a wide range of chemicals with the exception of chloride solutions. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.
Pros:
- Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types
- Delivered including coil and connector
- Semi-direct operated valves work from 0 bar, which makes them suitable for low pressure or gravity fed systems, circulating closed circuits or even rough vacuums
- Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
Cons:
- If your pressure differential is always higher than 0.5 bar, an indirect operated solenoid valve could be an alternative with better energy efficiency and lower total costs
- Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
- Solenoid valves use energy while activated and the coil may get hot. A well ventilated installation environment is recommended to dissipate the heat
DF-SA series
The DF-SA is a semi-directly operated 2/2-way solenoid valve (normally closed). The valve has an orifice from 16 mm up to 25 mm. The DF-SA series operates from 0 bar and is suitable for medium flow rates. The body is available in brass or stainless steel with an NBR, EPDM or FKM seal. The DF-SA solenoid valves are compatible with the coils from the CS2 (up to 1 inch) and CS8 (from 1-1/4 inch) series.
The valves are available with BSP or NPT threads on request.
