The Eaton Industries System 55 is a cable gland with a straight cable and pipe entry, constructed of grey plastic. It features a Metric thread type with a nominal thread size of Metric/Pg 32 and an alternative nominal thread size in inch NPT/gas pipe. Other features include thread pitch of 1.5mm, thread length of 8mm, spanner opening of 40mm, and hexagonal angle size of 40mm. This cable gland is also equipped with an IP68 protection rating up to 1 bar for 30 minutes, made from halogen-free polyamide in RAL 7035 color, and contains built-in strain relief. It has flammability classification V2 according to UL94 and a drilling dimension of 32.3mm.
