The actuator requires a supply voltage of 24 V AC/DC. The actuator supports BACnet MSTP/Modbus RTU/MP-Bus communication protocols and requires product ZTH EU for setting the protocol address and linking the actuator to the system. Furthermore, ZTH EU allows the setting of an analog 0-10V or 2-10V control signal. The actuator opens/closes the valve in 150 seconds. The actuator has an IP54 rating.

The actuator, equipped with overload protection, doesn't need limit switches and will stop automatically when the end stop is reached. Manual override is possible with a push-button, which disengages the gear train for as long as the button is pressed or locked. The stroke can be adjusted using a 4mm hexagon socket screw key inserted at the actuator's top, with the stroke shaft extending when turned clockwise. The actuator can be directly mounted on the globe valve using form-fit hollow clamping jaws and it can be rotated 360° on the valve neck. The actuator comes with an inbuilt interface for BACnet MSTP, Modbus RTU, and MP-Bus. It obtains the digital control signal from the control system and provides the present status. The default factory setting retracts the actuator stem.
