This modulating electrical actuator is offered in combination with a butterfly valve. It can turn the valve from 0-90 degrees in a time of 29 seconds. It requires a supply voltage of 24-240 V AC/DC has a duty cycle of 75%, and comes with a visual positioning indicator on top of the unit to clearly see valve position. As a modulating actuator, it is equipped with a digital positioning system (DPS) meaning it can position the valve anywhere between 0-90 degrees. It requires a control signal of 4-20 mA/0-10 V for positioning. The butterfly valve has a wafer type flange for connecting it to the piping, a nominal diameter of DN 100, and is rated up to 16 bar (232.0 psi) for non-hazardous fluids. Please note that the maximum pressure may deviate based on the medium type, so carefully check the datasheet. The butterfly valve has a cast iron GGG 40 housing, stainless steel disc and an EPDM seal. It is suitable for media temperatures between -10 and 110 °C (14 and 230 °F). The actuator has a IP67 degree of protection and is suitable for an environmental temperature of -20 to 70 °C (-4 and 158 °F). Is suitable for drinking water (DVGW approval).

Pros:

  • No risk of water hammer due to slow closing (29 s)
  • The components are interchangeable and can be replaced individually if needed
  • High Kv-value because the fluid flows in a straight line
  • The actuator has a digital positioning system (DPS)
