Electromagnetic insertion flow meter, stainless steel sensor, short probe - Bürkert 8041 - 560322
Insertion electromagnetic flow meter for conductive liquids such as water, acids, and bases. No moving parts in the flow path, so it is suitable for dosing and abrasive media that would wear a paddle-wheel meter. Provides a 4-20 mA output, with no local display. An insertion meter reaches a probe into the pipe through a single port, so one compact unit fits a wide range of pipe sizes without a full-bore meter body. It installs through a tee or weld-in fitting (such as the Bürkert S020), ordered to match your line. Rated for media up to 150 °C. Not suitable for non-conductive liquids such as oils or deionized water; for these, use a paddle-wheel meter.

Description
Insertion electromagnetic flow meter for conductive liquids such as water, acids, and bases. No moving parts in the flow path, so it is suitable for dosing and abrasive media that would wear a paddle-wheel meter. Provides a 4-20 mA output, with no local display. An insertion meter reaches a probe into the pipe through a single port, so one compact unit fits a wide range of pipe sizes without a full-bore meter body. The flow meter requires a matching installation fitting such as the Bürkert S020 to mount the meter in a line. Rated for media up to 150 °C. Not suitable for non-conductive liquids such as oils or deionized water; for these, use a paddle-wheel meter. The meter measures 0.4 to 75000 l/min; the usable part of that range depends on the chosen S020 fitting and pipe diameter (DN).
Pro
- No moving parts, low maintenance
- Suited for abrasive and dosing media
- 4-20 mA output
Con
- Installation fitting (Bürkert S020) required, ordered separately
- Conductive liquids only, not oils or deionized water
- No local display
