This G 1" BSP female globe valve provides reliable manual flow control via a handwheel. The brass body with NBR seat seal is designed for water and compressed air in general utility and building services installations. The PN 10 pressure rating suits lower-pressure systems such as domestic water supply, compressed air distribution, and light industrial installations. Not suitable for steam, oils, fuels, strong acids, ammonia, or seawater - for broader media compatibility, consider the Bronze or Stainless Steel series. Rated to 10 bar at 20 °C, temperature range 0 to 80 °C (32 to 176 °F).

Pros:

  • Manually operated with ergonomic handwheel - precise control and slow closing prevents water hammer.
  • Brass body - cost-effective and durable for water and compressed air service.
  • Compact design - suitable for tight installations in building services and utility pipework.

Cons:

  • Limited to water and compressed air - not suitable for steam, oils, fuels, or chemicals.
  • PN 10 pressure rating - not suitable for high-pressure applications.
  • NBR seat not compatible with oils, fuels, or aggressive chemicals - choose Bronze or Stainless Steel series for broader compatibility.
  • Higher pressure drop than ball or gate valves - not ideal where minimal flow resistance is critical.
