Description
Bürkert 2/2-way pneumatic angle seat valve (type 2000) with G 2 inch female threaded ports. The valve has a stainless steel housing with PTFE sealing and an orifice size of 50 mm. The control function of the valve is normally closed (NC), which means the valve opens when air is applied. Suitable for a media temperatures from -10 to 185°C (14 to 365°F) at a pressure of 0 to 16 bar (0 to 224 psi). The valve has a Kv-value of 49 m3/h (Cv-value of 56.6 gpm). The stainless steel housing is durable, suitable for corrosive media and harsh environments. The PTFE sealing is resistant to almost all chemicals. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium.
Pros:
- Y-shape design allow for higher flow capacity and Kv value compared to vertical globe valves
- Easily mount a compact Burkert 8697 position feedback and control unit on the actuator (not included)
Cons:
- Flow above seat can cause water hammer when used with liquids. Use flow below seat versions for liquids
- Type 2000 doesn't have a control cone, so it is not as suited to regulate flow rate as Burkert type 2702 or 2712
Series:
The Bürkert type 2000 2/2-way angle seat valve is a pneumatically actuated on/off valve. The CLASSIC pneumatically operated piston actuator is available in PA, or PPS for higher ambient temperatures. The valve body has been optimized for excellent flow properties and is equipped with a self-adjusting packing gland for added tightness and long-term reliability. These valves are suitable for high viscosity media of up to 600 mm2/s. This valve can be controlled through the use of a pilot valve or through central automation with a valve island. The valve can be fitted with accessories like electrical position feedback, manual override or stroke limitation.
