Shows oil flow from 2 to 30 l/min directly on a scale, without power supply. The spring-loaded float moves inside a transparent body, so the reading at its top edge is visible at a glance. The scale is calibrated for oil at 100 cSt (centistokes). A thicker oil can give a large reading error. For oils from 30 to 600 cSt, choose a metal variable area flow meter: one scale covers that whole range. It has a G 1" male thread, is rated up to 16 bar (≈230 psi) and +120 °C (≈248 °F), and suits only lightly contaminated liquids.
