G3/8'' Plastic Filler Breather Plug with Dipstick
Filler and breather plug for hydraulic tanks and gearboxes, G3/8 BSPP thread, cap diameter 36 mm. The 200 mm dipstick shows the oil level; the plug vents without an air filter. Polyamide body with NBR seal and galvanised steel dipstick, for mineral oil from -20 to +100 °C.

Description
Screw it into the filler opening of a tank or gearbox: remove it to fill, and leave it in place so air can flow in and out as the level changes. The dipstick can be shortened to suit the tank depth. With a dipstick, the plug is for mineral oils only, not for water. For oil-hydraulic systems, the version with air filter is recommended, as dirt can otherwise enter with the air.
Pros:
- Dipstick can be shortened to fit the tank depth
- Fill and breathe through one opening
- Large ribbed cap, screwed in and out by hand
Cons:
- No air filter - for oil hydraulics, choose the version with air filter
- Not for water - for water tanks, choose a version without dipstick
Series:
Filler and breather plugs for hydraulic tanks and other fluid reservoirs, also used as fill and vent ports on gearboxes. They close the filler opening and let air in and out as the fluid level changes. Plastic plugs come in four versions: with air filter, without air filter, with air filter and dipstick, and with dipstick only, with threads from G1/4 to G1-1/2 BSPP and M16x1.5 to M22x1.5 and cap diameters from 30 to 63 mm. They have a polyamide body, an NBR seal, a PU foam air filter and a galvanised steel dipstick that can be shortened to fit the tank. Brass plugs with air filter (G1/4 to G1/2) have a Fasit 202 seal and a galvanised steel wire mesh filter. The air filters retain particles of 50 to 60 µm; for oil-hydraulic systems, a breather with air filter is recommended. For mineral oils from -20 to +100 °C; versions without dipstick are also suitable for water.
