Description
This is a meter-out elbow orifice check valve for one-directional fixed air flow control. It has a 0.6 mm orifice that obstructs the flow in one direction and opens in the opposite direction providing the free flow. The check valve''s cracking pressure is at 0.5 bar. The meter-out configuration implies that the flow is affected (controlled) going from the male threaded port to the push-in fitting port. It is the other way around for the meter-in configuration.
It has a 8 mm push-in fitting on one side and an R 1/4 inch male threaded port on the other side. The push-in fitting provides an easy connection with the tubing. Push the tube in and the fitting will fix it with stainless steel claws. The flow is metered going from the male threaded port to the push-in fitting port.
The operating pressure ranges from 1 to 9 bar (14.5 to 130.5 psi). It has NBR seals that make it suitable for applications within a temperature range from 0 to 60°C (32 to 140 °F) (no freezing).
Pros:
- Small installation place
- Lower cost than a flow control valve
- Equipped with easy to connect push-in fittings
Cons:
- Non-adjustable orifice size
- Not suitable for vacuum applications
JKL series
The JKL – series includes elbow orifice check valves designed for one-directional air flow control. The threaded fitting side male threaded sizes range from R1/8 to R1/4 inch with 18 different possible orifice fitting sizes ranging from 0.3 to 2.0 mm. The push-in fitting sizes range from 4 to 8 mm. These valves are suitable for a maximum operating pressure of 9 bar. These orifice fittings are sealed with NBR O-rings that make them suitable for temperatures ranging from 0 to 60°C.
