Solenoid Valve 32x46 mm SFB flange NC Brass NBR 0-10bar/145psi 24VDC Latching 331 125856
Burkert 2/2 way solenoid valve (type 331) with 32x46 mm SFB flange and a 24 V DC coil. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed (voltage = open). The valve is direct operating, so no differential pressure required. Suitable for max media temperatures of 80 °C (176 °F) and a pressure range of 0 - 10 bar (145 psi). Housing of brass with NBR sealing and a 3 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 0.12 m3/h (2.0 l/min at dp = 1 bar water). Latching model.
Note: DIN connector not included.

Description
This is a Burkert direct operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with 32x46 mm SFB flange and a 24 V DC coil. The valve has a brass housing with NBR sealing and an orifice size of 3 mm. SFB is a Burkert specific flange design that enables compact mounting of multiple valves on a manifold. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. As it is direct operating, no pressure differential over the valve is needed to open the valve. Suitable for a pressure of 0 - 10 bar (145 psi) and a maximum temperature of 80 °C (176 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.12 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 2 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 0, which means 0 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For many applications it is enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The NBR (nitrile rubber) sealing is suited for water, air, alcohol and is fairly resistance to oil and petrol. NBR is unsatisfactory with oxidising fluids. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve requires an electrical pulse to switch between open and closed states rather than a continuous signal, leading to a lower energy consumption. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.
Pros:
- Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
- This bi-stable valve switches position with a small electrical pulse and consumes very little energy
- Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types
- SFB flange design enables compact mounting of multiple valves on a manifold
Cons:
- Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
- The coil may get hot when energized. A well ventilated environment is recommended
Series:
The Bürkert 0331 valve is a direct-acting, media separated pivoted armature valve. Orifices up to DN 4 and pressure ranges from 0 to 16 bar. The distinct feature of this valve from the 0330 model is the absence of threads, replaced by a Bürkert SFB (Specific Flange design Bürkert) flange connection at the bottom. This flange can be used to mount the valve onto a manifold or to mount onto a bigger valve (for example the Type 5282) and act as a pilot valve. The 0331 valve comes in 2/2 and 3/2-way versions. The 3/2-way versions are available as normally open, normally closed, distributor or mixing valve. The medium separated design makes this valve suitable for aggressive or slightly contaminated media. The standard brass housing satisfies all European drinking water requirements. The 0331 is equipped with manual override for commissioning and testing. ATEX explosion approved versions are also available.
