This is a Burkert semi-direct operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with G 1/2 inch threads and a 24 V AC/DC coil. The valve has a stainless steel housing with FKM sealing and an orifice size of 12 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. The semi-direct operating valve opens without needing differential pressure and requires only a slight pressure differential for full opening. Suitable for a pressure of 0 - 25 bar (363 psi) and a maximum temperature of 130 °C (266 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 2.2 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 37 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 3, which means 3 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. The stainless steel housing is very durable, strong and resistant to a wide range of chemicals with the exception of chloride solutions. The FKM (fluorine rubber or Viton) sealing has excellent chemical properties, is suited for most oils and solvents but it cannot handle hot water or steam. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Thanks to the ATEX and IECEx certification, this solenoid valve is suited for explosive environments. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected. The integrated power reduction feature reduces energy consumption by 75%. The valve is equipped with a "kick-and-drop" function, which provides a high inrush current to switch the valve and then reduces to a low holding current to keep the valve in position. This results in a significant reduction in power consumption.
