Solenoid Valve G1/4'' NC Stainless steel EPDM -1-1bar/-15-15psi 12VDC Vacuum 0121 20050767
Burkert 2/2 way solenoid valve (type 0121) with G 1/4 inch threads and a 12 V DC coil. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed (voltage = open). The valve is direct operating, so no differential pressure required. Suitable for slightly contaminated and aggressive media (media separation). Suitable for max media temperatures of 90 °C (194 °F) and a pressure range of -1 - 1 bar (-15 - 15 psi). Housing of stainless steel with EPDM sealing and a 6 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 0.6 m3/h (10.0 l/min at dp = 1 bar water). Manual override feature. Suitable for vacuum.
Note: DIN connector not included.

Description
This is a Burkert direct operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with G 1/4 inch threads and a 12 V DC coil. The valve has a stainless steel housing with EPDM sealing and an orifice size of 6 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. As it is direct operating, no pressure differential over the valve is needed to open the valve. Suitable for a pressure of -1 - 1 bar (-15 - 15 psi) and a maximum temperature of 90 °C (194 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.6 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 10 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 1, which means 1 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For many applications it is enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator. This model is media separated. This means that the working parts such as the spring are separated from the media by a flexible membrane, which makes it possible to use of slightly contaminated and aggressive media. The stainless steel housing is very durable, strong and resistant to a wide range of chemicals with the exception of chloride solutions. The EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) sealing is suited for neutral fluids and many chemicals, but it has poor resistance to oils and fats. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The manual override feature can be used to commission the system. Suitable for vacuum applications. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.
Pros:
- Suitable for vacuum applications
- Aggressive media are possible thanks to the media separated design
- The manual override is ideal for commissioning and in case of power outage
- Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
- Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types
Cons:
- Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
- The coil may get hot when energized. A well ventilated environment is recommended
Series:
The Bürkert type 0121 valve is a direct-operated, media separated pivoted armature valve with a stainless steel (316L), PTFE (teflon), PVC (polyvinyl chloride), PP (polypropylene) or PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) housing. The valve is available in 3/2- and 2/2-way versions. As a 3/2-way version, it can be delivered as a normally open, normally closed, distributing or mixing valve. The valve can be delivered with a diameter from DN 2 up to DN 8. Depending on the model, the valve can operate up to 6 bar. All 0121 valves come with a manual override for commissioning and testing. ATEX-approved versions are also available.
