Solenoid Valve NPT 1/4'' PP FKM 0-12bar/174psi 24VDC Latching 0330 20008021
Burkert 2/2 way solenoid valve (type 0330) with 1/4 inch NPT threads and a 24 V DC coil. This bi-stable valve switches between open and close and stays in position after short pulse (>150 ms) to one of the 2 windings. The valve is direct operating, so no differential pressure required. Suitable for slightly contaminated and aggressive media (media separation). Suitable for max media temperatures of 80 °C (176 °F) and a pressure range of 0 - 12 bar (174 psi). Housing of polypropylene (PP) with FKM sealing and a 2 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 0.13 m3/h (2.17 l/min at dp = 1 bar water). Latching model.
Note: DIN connector not included.

Description
This is a Burkert direct operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with 1/4 inch NPT threads and a 24 V DC coil. The valve has a polypropylene (PP) housing with FKM sealing and an orifice size of 2 mm. This bi-stable solenoid valve stays in position (open or closed) after a brief electrical pulse of at least 150 ms. The coil has 2 windings and three pins: one linked to the minus and two to the positive, each linked to a separate winding. An impulse to one of the positive pins switches the valve and remain in position until the next pulse. As it is direct operating, no pressure differential over the valve is needed to open the valve. Suitable for a pressure of 0 - 12 bar (174 psi) and a maximum temperature of 80 °C (176 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.13 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 2 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 0, which means 0 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For many applications it is enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator. This model is media separated. This means that the working parts such as the spring are separated from the media by a flexible membrane, which makes it possible to use of slightly contaminated and aggressive media. The PP (polypropylene) housing is suited for a wide range of chemical processes. The FKM (fluorine rubber or Viton) sealing has excellent chemical properties, is suited for most oils and solvents but it cannot handle hot water or steam. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve requires an electrical pulse to switch between open and closed states rather than a continuous signal, leading to a lower energy consumption. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.
Pros:
- Aggressive media are possible thanks to the media separated design
- Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
- This bi-stable valve switches position with a small electrical pulse and consumes very little energy
- Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types
Cons:
- Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
Series:
The Bürkert solenoid valve type 0330 is a direct-operated solenoid valve, meaning no pressure difference is needed to open the valve. This design is media separated, which allows for complete isolation of your fluid from the valve's working parts. This feature makes the valve a good solution for aggressive or slightly contaminated media. The valves can be delivered with DN 2 up to DN 5 or with a flange. The pressure range depends on the voltage, but has a maximum of 16 bar. The valve has a maintenance free pivot armature design instead of the common linear translating plunger. The valve is available in IP65 or IP67 protection. The valve has few moving parts, allowing for a long service life due to minimal wear on valve components. The 2/2-way and 3/2-way versions are designed for applications like mixing, diversion, and universal direction of media. The valves are available with different housing materials, such as brass, stainless steel, PP or PVDF in combination with different sealing materials. Finally, there are options for position feedback, bi-stable, vacuum variants, as well as ATEX explosion approved versions.
