Solenoid Valve NPT 3/4'' NC Brass EPDM 0-10bar/145psi 240VAC Anti-Waterhammer 6213 333871
Burkert 2/2 way solenoid valve (type 6213) with 3/4 inch NPT threads and a 240 V AC coil. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed (voltage = open). The semi-direct operating valve opens without needing differential pressure and requires only a slight pressure differential for full opening. Suitable for max media temperatures of 90 °C (194 °F) and a pressure range of 0 - 10 bar (145 psi). Housing of brass with EPDM sealing and a 20 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 8.3 m3/h (138.36 l/min at dp = 1 bar water). Low risk of water hammer thanks to dampened closing.
Note: DIN connector not included.

Description
This is a Burkert semi-direct operating 2/2 way solenoid valve with 3/4 inch NPT threads and a 240 V AC coil. The valve has a brass housing with EPDM sealing and an orifice size of 20 mm. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is normally closed, which means the valve opens when voltage is applied. The semi-direct operating valve opens without needing differential pressure and requires only a slight pressure differential for full opening. Suitable for a pressure of 0 - 10 bar (145 psi) and a maximum temperature of 90 °C (194 °F). The valve has a Kv-value of 8.3 m3/h, this translates to a flow rate of 138 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 10, which means 10 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For many applications it is enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator. The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) sealing is suited for neutral fluids and many chemicals, but it has poor resistance to oils and fats. Please note that the internal valve parts, such as the stainless steel plunger and springs, are also in contact with the medium and must be chemically compatible. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve's design prevents water hammering. This valve is certified to comply with UR Component standard. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected. The integrated power reduction feature reduces energy consumption by 75%. The valve is equipped with a "kick-and-drop" function, which provides a high inrush current to switch the valve and then reduces to a low holding current to keep the valve in position. This results in a significant reduction in power consumption.
Pros:
- Peak-and-hold electronics enable low energy consumption by delivering a high current to open the valve, which then decreases to a low holding current
- Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
- Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types
- Compact design with high flow rate
- A damped design ensures reduced noise levels
- Low risk on water hammer, thanks to the dampened closing
Cons:
- Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
- The coil may get hot when energized. A well ventilated environment is recommended
Series:
The Bürkert 6213 valve is a semi-direct operated valve. The plunger of the solenoid is coupled to the rubber membrane via a spring. The valve opens at zero bar but requires a minimal pressure differential for full opening. Orifices up DN 40 and port sizes up to 2 inch are available. All 6213 valves satisfy protection class IP65 and feature a damped housing design for quiet closing. The standard brass housing satisfies all European drinking water requirements. A special version (HP00) which opens the valve without differential pressure is available for gas and vacuum applications. For reduced energy requirement, all coils can be delivered with electronic power reduction.
