Rp 1/2'' L-Port Fail-Safe 3-Way Stainless Steel Ball Valve 24-240V AC/DC

This J4C electrical actuator with fail safe function is offered in combination with a TamesonPRO 3-way ball valve. It can turn the valve from 0-90 degrees in 9 seconds with an operating torque of 20 Nm (higher break torque so please see the manual). It requires a supply voltage of 24-240 V AC/DC, has a duty cycle of 75%, and comes with a visual positioning indicator on top of the unit to clearly see valve position. It is also equipped with a battery safety return (BSR) as an electronic safety function. If power is lost, the battery will power the actuator enough to put the valve back to its normal state (normally open/closed depends on how it is mounted). As standard, it does have a manual operation cogwheel for manually turning the valve if needed.

The stainless steel valve has three Rp 1/2'' female threaded ports (BSPT 228-1). The valve has a 12.7 mm bore, with Kv value of 5.6 m³/h (Cv = 6.5 gpm). Kv expresses the flow rate of water in m³/h at a pressure drop of one bar. The valve is rated up to 69 bar at 20°C (1000 psi at 68°F). It is suitable for temperatures from -29°C up to 210°C (-20°F up to 410°F). The valve is suitable for water, steam, oil, compressed air, fuels, solvents and aggressive media. With the actuator`s durable polyamide (PA) housing, it gives the unit a protection of IP67 for an environment temperature of -10°C till 70°C (14°F till 122°F).

Bore and circuit function

The ball has a L-port. Rotating the ball 90 degrees allows you to switch between two circuits. The ports overlap during rotation.

1125 TamesonPRO Ball Valves

The 1125 series includes reliable 3-way ball valves with a L-port or T-port. The housing is made of stainless steel, the ball is also made of stainless steel and the valve seats are made of PTFE. The valves are suitable for various aggressive and corrosive media up to a maximum of 69 bar (1000 psi). Suitable for temperatures between -29°C and 210°C (-20°F and 410°F). Ball valves from the 1125 series all have an ISO 5211 top flange (from F03 to max. F07) which makes the mounting of an actuator possible.

J4C Actuator

The J4C high voltage electric valve actuators from manufacturer J+J offers an impressive list of standard features that include protection against damage from over-torque or condensation. Actuators are also available with different options like fail-safe BSR (Battery Safety Return) or modulating called DPS (Digital Positioning System). The series has an operating torque range between 20-300 Nm.
The J4C fail-safe or modulating electric actuator is the same as the standard on-off J4C actuator but a BSR and/or a DPS kit is added inside the actuator. The J4C BSR fail-safe actuator can be set to fail open or fail closed. The J4C DPS modulating actuator can be controlled with 4-20 mA or 0-10 V (0-10 V on request).
