Description
This strong and energy efficient 3-way (L-port) electrical PVC ball valve from Tameson can be used to automatically shut off pipes with contaminated water or corrosive media, such as chloride solutions (seawater or swimming pools). Besides that, PVC is resistant to many salt solutions, acids and bases and solvents up to a maximum pressure of 10 bar or 145 psi. The valve has 20 mm solvent sockets ports with a true union design. The housing of the valve is made of PVC with a PVC-C ball and PTFE/EPDM seals. The valve can be used within a temperature range from -20 to 80 °C (-4 to 176 °F). The actuator can be used with alternating current (50/60Hz) from 100 volt up to 240 volt. The actuator draws 0.1A nominal, and 0.2A at maximal torque. The actuator has a robust aluminium housing (IP67, provided that an appropriate cable is connected) and delivers maximally 20 Nm torque. The valve rotates from 0 to 90 degrees in 4 seconds. When the ball reaches an end position, the electric motor is turned off and no energy is consumed. The actuator is equipped with two additional limit switches for position-feedback. The limit switches are positioned at 0 and 90 degrees. If required, the angular position of the switches can be adjusted by the user. A mechanical position indicator on the top of the actuator shows the valve position. The actuator is equipped with a manual override. FKM available on request.

The housing of the valve is made of PVC, the ball is made of PVC-C and the sealings are either PTFE/EPDM or FKM/EPDM. The valves can be used within a temperature range from -20 to 80 °C (-4 to 176 °F). The whole series is suitable for electrical and pneumatic actuation thanks to ISO 5211 flange and not equipped with handles for manual control. The pressure inlet can be on all three ports. The ball valves in the BL3PA-AG series of Tameson are characterized by a long life. The AG-series is a range of high quality actuators to control rotary quarter turn valves with an ISO 5211 flange of type F03, F04 and F05. The actuator can deliver 20 Nm torque (type AG-020) or 40Nm (type AG-040) in a fast and smooth operation. The dome indicator provides a clear visual inspection of the valve position. The actuator features a manual override and 2 auxiliary limit switches for control purposes.
