Solenoid Valve TP-DD 1/8'' 3/2 Way UN Brass EPDM 0-4bar 24V DC
JP Fluid Control 3 way solenoid valve (type TP) with G 1/8 inch threads and a 24 V DC coil. The circuit function of the solenoid valve is universal (flow in both directions) and direct operating, so no pressure differential is required. Suitable for max media temperature of 130° C (266 ° F) pressure range of 0 - 4 bar (0 - 58 psi). Housing of brass with EPDM sealing and a 2 mm orifice. The Kv-value is 0.12 m3/h (2 l/min at dp=1 bar water).

Description
This is a JP Fluid Control direct operating 3 way solenoid valve with G 1/8 inch threads and a 24 V DC coil. The valve has a brass housing with EPDM sealing and an orifice size of 2 mm (approximately 5/64 inch). The circuit function of the solenoid valve is universal, which means the flow is bi-directional.
The valve is suitable for pressures of 0 - 4 bar (0 - 58 psi) and a maximum temperature of 130° C (266° F). The valve has a Kv-value of 0.12 m3/h, which translates to a flow rate of 2 l/min at a differential pressure of 1 bar (for water). In imperial units: Cv = 0.14, which means 0.14 GPM @ 1 psi pressure drop. For simple applications it is often enough to select a valve based on the thread size and orifice diameter. For more accurate sizing, use the Kv-value with our easy to use valve sizing calculator.
The brass housing is durable, suitable for neutral fluids and resistant to many chemicals. The EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) sealing is suitable for neutral fluids and many chemicals, but it has poor resistance to oils and fats. Consult our chemical resistance chart to verify compatibility of housing and seals with the medium. The valve has an IP65 rating if properly connected.
Pros:
- Solenoid valves open and close very fast compared to many other valve types
- Delivered including coil and connector
- EPDM is suitable for (hot) water, neutral fluids and many chemicals
- Good protection against the environment thanks to the IP65 rating
Cons:
- EPDM is not suitable for oils and fats
- Solenoid valves are very sensitive to dirt and can only be used with clean liquids and gases
- Solenoid valves use energy while activated and the coil may get hot. A well ventilated installation environment is recommended to dissipate the heat
TP series
The TP series consists of different types of 3/2-way solenoid valves, suitable for a variety of applications such as actuating pneumatic equipment, draining, distribution or mixing of liquids and gases.
The valves are available with BSP or NPT threads on request.
